Mohammed Asad Mia is fighting for what counts – defeating tuberculosis (TB), supporting his beloved family and growing his business - all under the threat of COVID-19. To mark World Tuberculosis Day 2022, the Global Fund shares Asad’s personal story of overcoming TB during the COVID-19 pandemic in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Despite the devastating impact COVID-19 has had on the fight against TB globally, Bangladesh’s National TB Control Program in partnership with the Global Fund, BRAC and other partners successfully expanded TB testing and community care. By the end of 2021 Bangladesh reached an all time high in its TB treatment coverage rate. Asad is one of the people who was reached with these vital services.

Carolyne Wasonga is fighting for what counts – ending HIV, preventing gender-based violence and empowering young women and adolescent girls. “What I love about my job is that I'm able to change lives. I can't change all of them, but there are a few individuals that I can change,” she says.

Through support from the Global Fund, Carolyne and her fellow peer educators will reach 20,000 HIV positive adolescent girls in five countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Join Carolyne and others who are fighting for counts through the Global Fund’s Seventh Replenishment this year.

The threat of malaria and its deadly consequences has been a constant presence in Krayé Agenor's life. He vividly remembers that as a young boy, two of his aunts died from malaria while they were pregnant.

- Built a multi-camera studio control room. All shows segments were switched live to “tape” and then edited to combine all the parts.
- We filmed 3 days a month, 3-4 episodes per day, for a year.

So I got a message late Friday afternoon (before the Memorial Day weekend) saying we needed to create a video to play on stage at Apple's World Wide Developer's Conference, but the catch was that we had to film on Sunday, edit all week, and then deliver the final video by the next Friday. Ha! Challenge accepted AND completed! Super proud of this one because it was a monumental effort by our Studio team and our talented friends at Emotion Studios to make it all happen in such a short amount of time. Designing theme parks sounds like a classic kid’s dream, akin to being an astronaut or president. For the people who work at the Thinkwell Group, it’s a dream come true.

Thinkwell is the mastermind behind such attractions as The Making of Harry Potter and The Jurassic Park Institute. The group also designs museum exhibits, cultural attractions, and stage sets. They describe what they do as “experience design.”

Experience design combines “a lot of different disciplines to create an immersive, compelling experience that people move through,” says chief creative officer Craig Hanna. “It’s storytelling, it’s filmmaking, it’s theater.”

Dave Cobb, vice president of creative development, explains Thinkwell’s approach another way. “For us, it’s about designing things where the guest is the main character,” Cobb says. “They become our protagonist. They’re also the camera. Instead of a narrator telling you a story, you’re experiencing it first hand. If you look around, you’re immersed in a story.”

For fans lucky enough to attend Golden State Warriors games in Oakland's Oracle Arena, April 7, 2019, was a sad day. It marked the team's last regular-season game at the Arena. In honor of the fans, on April 7 the Warriors gave out special t-shirts (designed by Oaklandish) and cheer cards (designed by Temi Coker). As Fan Night sponsors, Adobe collaborated on both projects. This is the story of that special place and those special fans.

The Golden State Warriors teamed up with Oaklandish and Adobe to create a Fan Night t-shirt to pay tribute to Oracle Arena and the 47 seasons as the Golden State Warrriors. The video was specifically designed to play on Oracle Arena's Jumbotron during the last regular season game of 2019 and before the team moves to the new Chase Center.
